This educational web series for jazz singers examines select high-level vocal performances on ‘Live From Emmet’s Place’ and closely studies their recorded, modern rent-party. The student for this tool is beginning to advanced jazz vocalists; to excel, they will be instructed not only to understand their role in singing in jam sessions, but to know how the other instruments are functioning. These annotated videos will decode the often neglected communication techniques used by expert musicians.
